Montie Willis Paulk, 94, of Victoria formerly of Kingsville passed away October 7, 2013. He was born in Annona, Texas, January 13, 1919, to the late Charles Cleveland and Winnie Davis Willis Paulk. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Montie was retired from Celanese where he was employed for 37 years in the Paraform Unit. He was a member of Retama Park Baptist Church in Kingsville where he was a deacon.
He is survived by daughters, Sherryl Stolz and husband, Leon, Martha Franklin and husband, Tom, all of Victoria, Wanda Gillett and husband, George of Beeville; son, Carroll “Bud” Paulk and wife, Barbara of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter-in-laws, Della Dooley of Oklahoma City, and Jacqui Dooley of Bentonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, David and Sarah Lawson, Angela and Chris Dunkle; Clifford, Wendy and Annalisa Franklin, Kathy and John Redding, Teri and Michael White, Gary Gillett, Howard and Beth Arrington, Michael and Angela Paulk, Darryl and Marci Paulk, Robert and Jana Aguilar, Jaa Aguilar, Johna Hamilton, Cary and Tiffany Dooley, Christopher and Brandi Dooley, Leslie Firth, Kim and Steve Biggers and Bill and Dede Dooley; thirty great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Paulk in 1975, and second wife, Virginia Dooley Paulk in 2012; daughter, Joyce Aguilar; and sons by the second marriage, Hugh and Larry Dooley.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 11 am at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. Les Cole, Rev. Gary Clements and Ike Paulk, nephew, officiating.
